To Go Public or Not to Go Public...That is the Question.

I have debated on whether to keep this blog private for our own closed network of crime watchers, or to allow anyone access.

I am not sure if folks are having difficulty accessing our private blog or whether there is very little interest in this set of reports. I want to believe it is that the access is too confusing rather than that folks aren't interested in what goes on around them.

What I do know is that of the 45 invited families within our network only 5 have subscribed after nearly a month. I would appreciate hearing feedback from folks on this very question.

I cleaned up all the reports to protect those who emailed them to me to protect those crime watcher's identities and made some reports more general to protect those who reported.

Is there anybody else out there?

  1. I think it should be a regular website that is easier to access. everytime I try to look it up, it takes going through past email to find it.

  2. Thanks neighbors. I have decided to go public to see if more readers access and comment. Keeping my fingers crossed that folks will read this and have comments. Also hoping folks continue to report in so that we can make the info accessible to the group and to our community. Thanks for your feedback and interest.

  4. I think the citizens of Pleasant Hill should be aware of the Pleasant Hill Police Department's investigative handling of two, separate stabbing attacks. The known, troubled son of the former Mayor of Pleasant Hill/retired Contra Costa County sheriff's deputy was arrested for attempted carjacking, attempted robbery, false imprisonment, assault with a deadly weapon doing great bodily injury. He was identified/turned in to the PHPD by his own friend, and had been positively identified by the hospitalized victim. With blood on his clothing this young man was arrested, yet released from incarceration with no charges filed by the Contra Costa County D.A.. Less than 5 months later, and with an outstanding, no bail warrant for his arrest (a parole violation the PHPD was aware of) while living at home with the former mayor in Pleasant Hill, he stabbed again. The PHPD arrested, then jailed an innocent young man with a concrete, substantiated alibi. Alibi witnesses included a sworn peace officer and his equally credible wife. For details of this particular travesty of justice visit our blog at JuryUninformed.blogspot.com If Pleasant Hill/Contra Costa County residents truly wish to make a difference, they must speak up! The PHPD must explain why they've refused to address many mistakes, false evidence they documented in police reports, the special treatment they appear to have provided the son of the former mayor/ret. sheriff's deputy, etc. etc.. Pleasant Hill/CC County taxpayers must HOLD THEM ACCOUNTABLE, otherwise they can expect more of the same.
